Building better homes for better communities

Thoughtfully designed, community-focused residential developments that deliver quality homes and secure futures.
Sound Living delivers high-quality, low-maintenance, affordable housing to help Kiwis purchase their first homes or investment.
A proud New Zealand-owned company, Sound Living was set up and is led by Paul Gunn and Dan Russek. Experienced and respected construction professionals, your home is in sound hands with Sound Living.

Sound Living is a boutique developer and home builder which leverages the expertise and experience of its directors who take a hands on approach to ensure delivery of high quality homes with a more personal experience than larger corporate developers.
We work in collaboration with other leading residential developers to provide high-quality homes at fair prices. These partnerships ensure proven design and construction efficiencies are delivered across our developments. And with a focus on medium density, walk-up housing, we build homes and not just properties.
Sound Living only builds with quality materials which are key to the longevity and durability of a building. We build in concrete, steel, block and brick which will stand the test of time and require little maintenance. This is a significant point of difference to other housing developments which utilize timber structure and cheaper façade options.
Unlike many other property developers, Sound Living is an integrated development and construction business. This means we can focus on quality and efficiency without the friction that often occurs when the builder is separate from the developer. The result? You experience a smoother, more streamlined process, and we stand behind all aspects of your new home.

We are firm supporters of the government’s KiwiBuild initiative. Sound Living wants to help young Kiwis struggling to buy their first homes. We aim for 50-70% of homes in each development to go to KiwiBuild purchasers. And our KiwiBuild homes meet the same high standards as those we sell on the open market.
